One of the necessary implements for a game of Chain of Command are the Jum Off Points. They usually take the shape of little vignettes of supply dumps, with gasoline barrels, weapons and ammo.
Until now, we have used the Patrol Markers as JOPs, but I wanted to do something different for our future games.
The problem was that, because we play in 15mm, there are not many options for individual weapons, ammo boxes or barrels. On top of that, importing anything in 15mm, or any other scale in Uruguay, is quite difficult.
The solution I found was creating a couple of vignettes in 3D, one for the English and one for the Germans.
After printing, I noticed a couple of problems that will have to be addressed in version 2. Mainly the weapons. Even if they are scaled properly, in 15mm scaled properly means that they are way too thin and they will have to be scaled up.
Another problem I had was that, even tough the guy who did the printing for me sent me pictures, and I had a good look at them, when it was time for priming I noticed that instead of 4 JOPs for the British and 4 for the Germans, I had 6 for the British and only 2 for the Germans.
In order to convert one of the British JOPs into a German one, I simply scrape the Bren Gun, re positioned one of the barrels and covered everything with a cammo net made out of gauze.
